Deadly shooting on Richmond’s southside

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond police were out for several hours Friday morning investigating a deadly shooting.

They say a man in his 20s was shot multiple times.

EMS crews rushed him to the hospital where he later died.

Officers say it happened just before 2:00 a.m. on the 1500 block of Columbia Street.

Police say the family has been notified but they have not released his name yet. They haven't said if the victim lives on this street.

Police are still looking for the shooter. They say he was last seen running away.
