Man injured during robbery in Hanover County

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) - A man was injured after being robbed outside his home Monday morning.

The Hanover County Sheriff's Office said it happened around 4:10 a.m. in the 16100 block of Washington Highway near Route 30.

The man was leaving for work when he was approached by four men on foot.  They demanded his money and a struggle followed causing wounds to the victim's head.  The group of men took off with the man's money.

The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center and he is expected to be okay.
