UVA, Norfolk State invited to NCAA tournament

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - After starting out the season 18-3, UVA has hit a wall, falling in six of its final 10 games.

Despite that, the Wahoos are feeling pretty good about an NCAA tournament bid entering the day, but would enter the field of 68 with just seven scholarship players on the roster, after injuries and transfers.

The Cavaliers earn a 10th seed in the west region and will take on seventh seeded Florida. UVA ended 22-9 on the season and is back in the big dance for the first time since 2007.

The Cav's will travel to Omaha, Nebraska to face the Florida Gators on Friday at 2:10pm.

Norfolk State is also traveling to Omaha to play Missouri Friday, at 4:40pm.
