Man shot twice in Hillside Court

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Police are on the scene of a shooting in the Hillside Court neighborhood. Just before noon Sunday, police received calls for shots fired in the area.

Right now, an area in the 1700 block of Rosecrest Avenue has been roped off by police, but we're told officers are still having trouble establishing just where the crime scene actually was.

The victim, described as a man in his 20's, was seen running through the neighborhood before police arrived on scene. That man had a gunshot wound to his shoulder and another to his lower back region. The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center and is expected to recover.

Meanwhile, a suspect is not in police custody at this time.

    Surveillance cameras captured someone opening fire at a gas station in Jasper. Police are looking for one of the people they said opened fire on Friday night, while the other is still in a hospital.
