USPS suspends plans to close processing plants

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The U.S. Postal Service has suspended plans to close more than 200 processing plants around the country.

This includes the Norfolk processing center — closing it would have sent more mail to the beleaguered Sandston plant.

We told you about this plan last month.

USPS announced it's suspending the plan until after the November election. It doesn't want the change to affect any ballots that will be cast by mail.
