Second suspect in Caroline bus crash to be arraigned to Virginia

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A second person has been arrested in that deadly bus crash in Caroline County on I-95 from last May.

Four people were killed and 50 others hurt.

He is in jail in Greensboro, North Carolina, waiting to be brought to Caroline County.

The second man arrested is 41-years-old Zhao Jian Chen.

Chen was arrested back on February 17. He had been a dispatcher for discount bus company Sky Express.

He's charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection to that deadly bus crash.

Caroline County's Commonwealth's Attorney says Chen told bus driver Ken Yiu Cheung he had to drive even though he said he was too tired.

Cheung has been charged with manslaughter.

According to the Guilford County jail report, Zhao Jian Chen is in jail without bond. He's expected to be sent to Virginia within the next 10 days.
