Four Spider ladies honored by A-10

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Abby Oliver is one of the top players ever to suit up for the Spiders, and Wednesday she was honored as such by the Atlantic 10.

Four Spiders in all garnered All Conference recognition as announced by the league office Wednesday morning. Abby Oliver spearheads the Spider award list with an All Conference first team bid. Genvieve Okoro was selected as a third team selection, and Liz Brown was an All-Rookie team honoree. Two-sport athlete Becca Wann was named the Most Improved Player of the Year.

Oliver, the league-leader in points per game, averages 17.1 ppg for the Spiders. The Roanoke, Va. native is Richmond's seventh all-time scorer at 1,458 points. Oliver leads the country in free throw percentage (98-104, 94%) and has led Richmond scoring in 20 games this season.
