Ultrasound Bill goes to Senate Monday

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A big moment may take place at the Capitol on Monday. That's when the divisive Ultrasound Bill is up for a vote in the full Senate.

The bill would require women to have an external ultrasound before getting an abortion.

An earlier version of the bill, now dead, would have required a more invasive internal exam.

If the Senate approves, the revised bill would then go to the Governor.

The Senate could also choose to delay action on the bill.
