HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - The Henrico County school board approved a spending plan without any layoffs.
School leaders backed down from a proposal that had bus drivers thinking about quitting.
Instead of the proposed six-hour contract, drivers will now keep their current, "seven or eight" hour contracts.
Last night's 5-0 vote means the school budget now goes to the Board of Supervisors.
They are scheduled to vote on the county budget in April.
