CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A woman was taken from a Richmond restaurant and raped in a Chesterfield home last week, according to Chesterfield Police.

Francisco J. Salaz-Lopez was arrested Thursday and charged with both abduction and rape in the Feb. 15th incident.

He abducted the woman from the Sabor Latino restaurant at 4644 Jefferson Davis Highway in Richmond, forcing her into the back seat of a car, according to police. She was then taken to the 3100 block of Dulwich Drive in Chesterfield where she was sexually assaulted. Police say the victim managed to escape during the assault and call for help.

We spoke with an employee at the restaurant and dance club. He says they were hosting a Valentine's Day part late that night. He says he didn't notice anything suspicious.

"All I can see is the ambulance outside and the police but I don't know what happened," said Jose Robles.

Neighbors in the Dulwich Drive area say they didn't hear anything either. But, it does have them concerned about what happened.

"I'm ready to move." said Camellia Cox.
