Richmond, VA (WWBT)- Clover Hill football star Joel Caleb took all the time he could to decide on Virginia Tech as his college choice. The top rated recruit in Virginia narrowed it down to three top notch programs, and announced his selection of the Hokies on National Signing Day. Caleb's Clover Hill teammate, Holland Fisher, is making his decision in the opposite manner.
Fisher, a junior, has already verbally committed to the Hokies, Clover Hill head coach Sean O'Hare confirmed on Sunday. Fisher took a visit to Blacksburg for a junior day and felt it was the right fit. He played wide receiver and linebacker for the Cavaliers in 2011, but is expected to sign with Virginia Tech as a defensive back. Fisher will now enter his senior year with his choice made and the opportunity to focus on football and academics.
Meanwhile, published reports indicate that Henrico athlete Cequan Jefferson has also verbally committed to the Hokies. Jefferson will reportedly sign as an athlete and stood out for the Warriors at wide receiver and defensive back this past season.
