HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico county leaders are changing its ways when it comes to zoning laws for religious groups.
According to the Times-Dispatch, the board will change the wording of it's zoning laws to replace wording like "church" with the words, "place of worship."
It's also addressing parking and lot sizes, to adjust to smaller places of worship.
The change comes after a recent settlement reached between the county and the federal government, over religious discrimination.
Henrico had a history of blocking the construction of a Muslim mosque until recently, when a lawsuit was filed.
