Rozzell inks pro deal in Holland

Richmond, VA (WWBT)- Former VCU hoops standout Brandon Rozzell has spent the last month competing with the Richmond Elite of the ABA, which plays its home games at Rozzell's alma mater, Highland Springs High School.  He's been waiting for the chance to get back to a higher level of professional basketball, and now he's gotten a new opportunity.

Rozzell agreed to a pro contract with the Lasaulec Aris Tigers on Saturday, a team in Holland.  The club competes in the highest division of professional basketball in the country.  The Tigers are currently in sixth place and are nearly halfway through their 2011-2012 season.

The former Ram will depart Monday for The Netherlands and join his new team.  Rozzell was a huge contributor on last year's Final Four squad, knocking down 17 three pointers and averaging 12.0 points in six NCAA Tournament games.
