RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Family and friends will come together Thursday to say goodbye to a toddler killed earlier this week in a house fire.
Two-year old Leshay Yates died when flames ripped through her family's mobile home early Monday morning. It's been a very emotional week for Leshay's family.
The medical examiner ruled the 2-year old death was an accident.
Her father says he tried to go back inside the house to rescue his daughter, but the smoke was too intense.
The toddler died from burns and smoke inhalation.
Her family says her 7-year-old brother started the deadly fire in the family's trailer. Right now he's staying in a mental health facility. A place his family thinks he should have been all along.
The graveside service for Leshay Yates is at noon, at Bermuda Memorial Cemetery in Chester.
