Richmond police seek man involved in two overnight robberies

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The following is a press release from Richmond Police Department.

Richmond Police investigators need the public's help to find and identify the man who robbed a 7-Eleven early this morning after unsuccessfully trying to rob a nearby McDonald's.

Just after midnight today, a man walked into the 7-Eleven at 2922 Jefferson Davis Highway, acted as if he had a gun and robbed the clerk.

Based on the man's description, investigators believe he's the same person who tried to rob the McDonald's at 821 Hull St. around 9:30 p.m. last night.

The robber fled the scene in a dark-colored small pickup with a ladder rack. The rack also had a ladder on it.
