CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -- Police agencies across the area are comparing notes, after two more robberies happen that have striking similarities.

It's possible the same man may be responsible for the two armed robberies on Monday night: one in Chesterfield and one in Richmond. It's very possible that same man is responsible for four other robberies that we first told you about last week.

Natisha Mills is on high alert. She works at a hair salon, very close to one of the stores targeted by an apparent serial robber. "Things happen. You have to prepare for the worst and hope for the better."

Recently -- she's noticed more officers patrolling the area. One officer even stopped by her store.

"He watched us lock the door, walk out the door and made sure we left the parking lot safely," she said.

Richmond police say around 8:30 Monday evening -- a man, armed with a gun, stormed into the Cato's women's clothing store. That's on Sheila Lane, just off Forest Hill Avenue.

Just about a five minute drive down Chippenham to Midlothian, that same man may have struck again. This time -- robbing the SpaNails shop at gun point on Turner Road in Chesterfield.

The woman who was inside the store when it was robbed said she didn't want to talk on camera. But, she told me off camera, that she told the robber, "Baby, you came to the wrong store because I only take credit cards." She says that robber only got away with a little bit of cash.

Right now -- investigators are looking to see if the two most recent crimes are related and also looking to see if the same guy is responsible for hold up's at two other Chesterfield shops. That includes another nail salon and women's clothing store. There were also two recent robberies at Dress Barn's in the area that may be the work of this same man. One of the crimes happened in Henrico at Virginia Center Commons. The second robbery happening in Hanover County on Bell Creek Road.

In nearly all of the robberies, the man robbing these stores was wearing a hoodie, dark clothes and a mark. In all the crimes, money was taken but no shots were fired and no one was injured.

Also, a common theme is that the suspect ordered the victims to the back of the stores just before he left the store.
