State: Chlorine to blame for Henrico fish kill

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Some disturbing findings from state environmental officials at the site of the two Henrico ponds where hundreds of fish were killed.

They found chlorine levels ten times above the legal limit.

The state still believes the chlorine came from a public water main break more than a week ago. Henrico county says it is skeptical of that.

The fish along with a beaver were removed from the Winchester Green ponds.
