Gingrich drops VA primary ballot lawsuit

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Newt Gingrich is giving up the fight to get on Virginia's primary ballot.

He and three others sued Virginia, trying to get on the upcoming Super Tuesday ballot.

A federal judge granted Gingrich's request to drop his name from the case.

Only Mitt Romney and Ron Paul met the 10,000 signature requirement.
