Many veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are having trouble finding jobs. That's why Dominion Virginia Power has a program called "Troops to Energy Jobs."
Dominion has partnered with other utility companies to put veterans to work. They expect 200,000 workers to retire from the utilities industry in the near future, and hope to fill those vacancies with many of the 200,000 veterans who are unemployed.
Said Matt Kellam with Dominion Virginia Power, "Military veterans have traits that are highly regarded by our industry, especially Dominion. They are safety conscience, they're disciplined, and they're civic minded. Those traits align perfectly with us here at Dominion."
