Hanover County School board needs more time

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Hanover County School leaders say they need more time before they adopt the new school budget.

According to the Times Dispatch, the school board voted last night to delay the budget vote until at least it's February 21st meeting.

Last week NBC12 told you how the county is not ruling out teacher layoffs. That's because it's facing a $14 million budget deficit.

But it's not just teachers that could be out of a job, bus drivers, custodians and other employees could also be laid off.
