CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - All westbound lanes of Midlothian Turnpike are back open after being closed for an overnight crash.
The crash happened early Tuesday morning near Sycamore Square Shopping Center.
Police say a man in a pickup truck ran off the road into a utility pole.
The damage pole had to be replaced and crews were forced to cut power to the area while repairs were made.
In addition to homes and businesses, electricity to Midlothian Middle School was also cut.
Police say the driver of the pickup truck was taken to Chippenham Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
No word on the cause of the accident though police say alcohol may have been a factor.
