Abduction, robbery outside Henrico convenience store

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) – Henrico Police are investigating after a man and woman reported being abducted and robbed just outside of a 7-11 convenience store Saturday night.

The victims told police they were leaving the gas station near Nine Mile Road and Airport Drive around 9:00 p.m., when a male entered the backseat of their car and forced them to drive at gunpoint.

Police say the victims were told to drive to the nearby Oakmeade Apartments complex. That's where another suspect, who police believe followed from the 7-11, approached.

Cell phones and cash were stolen from the victims, but fortunately they weren't hurt. Police also said the suspects rummaged through the victims' car, but didn't steal any additional items.

The suspects made off in an unknown vehicle. Police say one of the men was wearing a distinctive jacket with dollar signs on it.

Employees at the 7-11 say they didn't see anything unusual, but there is a security camera.

If you know anything that can help with this investigation, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
