Senior Alert: Fredericksburg man believed to be in danger

FREDERICKSBURG, VA (WWBT) - Virginia State Police issued a Senior Alert for a missing Fredericksburg man who suffers from dementia and doesn't have his medication.

Gilbert Joseph Wood Sr. is 82-years-old and is believed to be in danger, according to State Police. He was last seen around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Mill Park Terrace Apartments in Fredericksburg. He was reported missing at 9:30 p.m. by a friend who lives in the apartment complex. He may be driving a tan 1986 Chevrolet Astro Van with Virginia license MP9220.

Mr. Wood suffers from a heart condition and dementia, and it appears that all of his medications were left behind in his residence.  Mr. Wood was also reported missing in July 2011, and on that occasion he was located unharmed in Loudoun County.  

Wood is described as a white, male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 200 lbs, with hazel eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a red flannel jacket, blue hat and glasses.
