HENRICO, VA (WWBT) – Henrico County Public Schools will hold two community meetings this month to address what it describes as the achievement gap between black and white students.
The meetings will take place as the U.S. Department of Education continues a compliance review to see if the district discriminates against minority students. The review began in 2010 and remains unfinished.
HCPS leaders intend to share data, show trends over time, and discuss areas that show positive gain as well as areas that need improvement.
The meetings will take place at the following times:
Tuesday, January 17th. 6:00-7:30 p.m. New Bridge Learning Center. 5915 Nine Mile Road.
Wednesday, January 25th. 6:00-7:30 p.m. Henrico Training Center. 7701 E. Parham Road.
