Man assaulted by teens

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Police needs your help looking for three teens who badly assaulted a 69-year-old man walking down the 200 block of Broad Street, Tuesday night.

Police say one of the teens told him -- quote, "I don't like the way you look." The man was hit in the head, possibly with a book bag.

When he fell to the ground police say he was repeatedly punched and kicked. Police say the three boys then ran off toward Gilpin Court.

Police say the man was assaulted at 6:14 p.m.

"To do that to an old man. I don't respect that. You shouldn't do that. The younger generation like we learn from our elders, so I don't see the reason why you should attack an older man," said local artists promoter, Lovey Jones.

The man was badly assaulted but police say the three juveniles took no money.

The only description: all three were wearing khaki pants and black hoodies with white lettering, according to the victim.

The victim was treated for injuries to his face at St. Mary's Hospital.
