Sleeping woman robbed at gunpoint

SPOTSYLVANIA, VA (WWBT) – The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a woman woke up to find a robbery suspect pointing a gun in her face.

This happened around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Pleasants Drive.

According to police, the victim was sleeping when an armed male entered her bedroom and demanded her medication at gunpoint. The victim complied and the suspect made off with not only the medication, but the victim's purse as well.

Police believe a second male suspect was waiting in the hallway while the first suspect confronted the victim.

This robbery isn't believed to be related to one that happened Tuesday on Hamilton Street.

You can also call Crime Solvers at 1-800-928-5822 or 1-540-582-5822.
