Three church break-ins in Stafford County

STAFFORD, VA (WWBT) – The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying whoever is responsible for a string of church break-ins.

The most recent break-in happened between 2:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church on Embrey Mill Road. A window and interior door were broken and a safe containing an undisclosed amount of gift cards was stolen.

Tuesday morning's crime is believed to be linked to two other break-ins in the county. Sometime between January 1 and January 3, a flat screen television, monitor and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from North Stafford Church of Christ on Shelton Shop Road.

On January 4, Ramouth Baptist Church was also broken into. This time, the suspect or suspects are believed to have forced open a window, and then stole four flat screen televisions, four computers and a camera.
