Home burglaries increase in Henrico's west end

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) – Henrico Police are warning west end residents about a recent increase in home burglaries.

In a January 3rd e-mail sent to western Henrico neighborhood watch coordinators, Community Officer Rachel Heinig wrote, "the break-ins have been occurring mostly in the afternoon hours, when the homeowners and neighbors have not been present." Heinig reminded west end residents to lock their windows and doors, and to report suspicious activity to the police.

NBC12 obtained a list of streets where burglaries have been reported dating back to November:

1000 block of Ridge Top Road

8400 block of Henrico Avenue

1100 block of West Durwood Circle

800 block of Westham Way

200 block of Rosyln Hills

770 block of Rock Creek Road

700 block of West Drive Circle

0 block of Countryside Lane

800 block of Lindsay Court
