Two arrested in Henrico drug bust

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) – Two men are behind bars after Henrico police say a "knock and talk" led to officers discovering drugs and weapons in an apartment complex.

This all happened at 11:50 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of N. Laburnum Avenue.

Henrico Police tell us the smell of marijuana was coming from an apartment where 21-year-old James Frank Royster III and 21-year-old Michael Wagstaff, Jr. were inside.

The two men consented to a search of the apartment. That's when officers found three assault rifles, a handgun, ballistic vest, ammo, and two pounds of marijuana.

Royster is charged with possession and distribution of marijuana, as well as possession of a firearm while in possession of drugs. Wagstaff is charged with distribution of marijuana.
