Police need community's help to solve murder

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Police need your assistance finding the person who shot and killed a woman in an East End neighborhood last week.

Officers are passing out flyers near the Nine Mile Road and Oakwood Cemetery area.

They have a picture of Bonnie Marrow and the Black Acura she drove.

One week ago, police found 56-year-old Bonnie Marrow shot in her Black Acura on North 25th Street. She died at the hospital.

It was just before 7:30 in the morning.

Ms. Marrow was a nurse at the VCU Women's Health Department, and she was just headed to work that morning.

In June of 2010, her son was also shot to death in his car.

Right now, police would like to speak with anyone who was in the area of Nine Mile Road last Thursday morning, when the shooting happened.

Even if you saw or heard anything unusual, they need to know every detail they can to piece this investigation together.

Anyone with information on this crime is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.

You can remain anonymous.
