Richmond uses big second half to extinguish Liberty

Richmond, VA (WWBT)- Cedrick Lindsay scored 19 points, leading four Richmond players in double-figures, as the Spiders topped Liberty, 77-61, on Wednesday night.  The win was a much-needed one for Chris Mooney's team, as Richmond had lost four of its last five coming in.

The Flames opened the game on a 10-1 run, before Richmond charged back to take a 33-29 lead at the break.  The second half saw Richmond pull together and pull away, as the Spiders did not commit a turnover during the second frame, and cruised to the win.

Darien Brothers chipped in 17 points, while Josh Duinker scored 12, including ten key first half points that fueled the Spiders' early comeback.  Brothers also added eight rebounds and four assists.  Derrick Williams rounded out the Richmond players in double-figures with eleven points.  Jesse Sanders led Liberty with 14 points.
