Family Lays Bonnie Marrow to Rest

Richmond, VA - A Henrico woman shot to death in Church Hill last week was laid to rest Monday as police continue to search for her killer. Bonnie Marrow was gunned down in her car Thursday.

She was found on North 25th Street and taken to the hospital- but died. For this family, it was another tragedy too soon. Marrow just laid her son to rest in June of 2010- he was also shot in his car.

The chapel was overflowing with loved ones. Memories of Bonnie Marrow held tight.

"Bonnie was a very sweet person and we love her dearly and

"We love her tremendously and we gonna miss her very much," said Lenora Davis, Marrow's sister in law.

"She just was out there for anybody. Just one caring person. You couldn't found a better person than Bonnie," added friend, George Taylor.

Family members don't have answers about how their loved ones died. But they say this day isn't for questions. It's for remembering a beautiful woman.

"She was a very beautiful woman inside and out," said Davis. "She was always nice to everyone and would help anybody. She was a best friend."

They say they find peace in faith and in each other and in knowing mother and son are finally together again.

"Times like this our family always stick together," said Marrow. "Yes there were violent situations…but God understands and knows all so that's where we stand on our faith and we believe and where she is we all may be there one day."

Detectives are trying to find anyone who may have heard or seen gunshots. It appears Marrow was shot somewhere near Nine Mile Road or Mechanicsville Turnpike, but managed to drive toward North 25th Street. If you know anything, call police at 514-tips.
