Shooting investigation in Henrico

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) – A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot near a Henrico gas station.

Police tell us two men were leaving the WaWa in the 5200 block of Brook Road to return to their hotel room just after 2:00 a.m. Saturday.

The men were approached by two black males, who were both armed and demanded money.  At one point, the first suspect had his weapon pointed at the head of the first victim, while the second suspect shot the second victim in the stomach.

The shooting victim was taken to VCU Medical Center, where we're told he's expected to be okay.

The first suspect is described as approximately 19-years-old, between 5'3" and 5'5", and roughly 180 pounds. He's described as having a mustache and was last seen wearing all black clothing.

The second suspect is described as 22-years-old, approximately 5'1", 185 pounds, and with a full beard. Police say he was last seen wearing all black clothing, with a gray hooded sweatshirt.
