Woman abducted, robbed in Henrico

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) – Henrico Police are investigating after a woman says she was abducted from a shopping center parking lot Friday afternoon.

According to police, the female was shopping at the Food Lion in the 9100 block of Staples Mill Road, when around 5:00 p.m., she says a man followed her to her vehicle.

The woman told police the man entered her car and told her to drive towards Richmond. No weapon was displayed, but police say the woman was given the impression the suspect was armed.

The victim drove to the 3200 block of W. Broad Street, where the suspect then exited the car, and robbed her of her purse, money, and several gifts.

The woman immediately called police.

Officers say the suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25-35 years of age, approximately 5'8" to 6'1" and between 200 and 225 pounds.

The victim also told officers a white van followed her vehicle as she drove herself and the suspect into the city. The driver of that van is said to be a white male.

If you know anything that can help police with this investigation, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
