Three arrested in connection to missing man case

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The following is a press release from the Richmond Police Department.

Richmond Police detectives have charged three men with conspiracy to commit burglary in connection with a missing Shockoe Bottom man case.

Tre S. Carrington, 24, and Erik S. Finger Jr., 22, and, Andrew L. Scott, 21, have each been charged with one felony count of conspiracy to commit burglary.

They were arrested after being caught on surveillance video breaking into Matthew Henry Williams' apartment on Wednesday, Dec. 14. They were some of the last people see with Williams before he disappeared Tuesday, Dec. 13. They are considered persons of interest in Williams' disappearance.

Williams, 23, of the 1900 block of East Cary Street, was last seen about 10 p.m. on Dec. 13 entering his apartment building with the above three men and leaving with them an hour later.

About 1 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, two of those same men are seen breaking into Williams' apartment without Williams and leaving the scene with his TV and video game console.

Investigators would like to thank the community for the tips they have received, but are still asking anyone with any information about Williams' whereabouts to call the Department's Tipsline at 514-TIPS (8477) or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
