Feinstein releases new behind-the-scenes memoir

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - John Feinstein has written about some of the most colorful and controversial people in sports - Bob Knight, John McEnroe, Deion Sanders, Tiger Woods.  But in his new book, he takes on a new subject, himself.

After 28 books, including the two best-selling sports non-fiction books of all-time A Season on the Brink, and A Good Walk Wasted, Feinstein is giving readers a glimpse into his world, with One on One: Behind the Scenes with the Greats in the Game.

Feinstein came by the NBC12 studios to talk about his newest book.  The Duke graduate and longtime Washington Post reporter and columnist said that it was one of the most fun book he's written, because he was able to go back and talk to so many of the people he covered so long ago.  The book tells stories of how he was able to get access to Bobby Knight for entire season, how Tiger Woods stopped giving him the time of day, and how covering the Army/Navy football rivalry changed his life.
