"Lincoln" set struck at capitol

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The "White House" is slowly disappearing from the state capitol.

Crews involved with Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" film began striking the set early today.

The north portico was made to look like the White House around the time Abraham Lincoln was in office, but now those tall columns are coming down.

Landscapers also began scooping up all the mulch that covered the sidewalks.

And the capitol lawn was mowed for the first time in months.
