CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Dr. Judith McKenize has some suggestions to help you avoid the uncomfortable problem of diarrhea.
Be consistent with your diet over the holidays. If you eat off your diet, do so in moderation.
When you get diarrhea, avoid fats and dairy and increase intake of starches and high fiber fruits. Adding a probiotic (good bacteria) can help too.
If you have abdominal pain, fever, or persistent diarrhea for 2 weeks, see your doctor.
