Chesterfield shopping center sold at auction

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - An update on a Chesterfield shopping center auctioned off today.

"I have $2 million dollars going once, $2 million dollars going twice, third and final opportunity to advance, property is sold for $2 million dollars," said Attorney David Culbert with REO Sales, LLC, Substitute Trustee.

Virginia Commerce Bank was the only bidder for Rockwood Square which is at the intersection of Hull Street and Courthouse Roads.

It held the $3.8 million debt on the foreclosed property.

Some local investors watched the sale on the Chesterfield courthouse steps.
