RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – School officials say an 'emergency situation' caused two schools in Richmond to go on lock-down.
Westhampton Day School and St. Christopher's school closed their doors shortly after 9:00 Tuesday morning.
School officials say they went on lock-down because Henrico police were searching for a wanted suspect near the campuses.
The lock-down was lifted about an hour later.
No students were harmed.
It is also unclear if police caught the perpetrator.
School officials say the lock-down was executed as a precautionary action.
