Shooting at Hampden Sydney College, no one injured

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Hampden Sydney College is on high alert Tuesday morning after a shooting on campus; no one was injured.

Police believe the shots come from a nine millimeter pistol. One of its bullets lodged in the outside wall of a building.

The shootings happened just after 1:30 Sunday morning in the yard of the Minority Student Union House.

The university's president says there was a party at the time of the shootings.

According to the Times-Dispatch, investigators believe three men who are not students have something to do with this.

Witnesses say they saw the men running away from the area. Police searched campus looking for the suspects. Farmville police arrested two men after a short chase a little after the shootings but they have not said if the cases are linked.
