CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Dr. Sheila Clasbey is reminding people to get their flu shots.

It's important to get the flu vaccine prior to the holidays. When people travel, they get exposed to many viruses including the flu.

It takes two weeks to become protected once getting the vaccine.

Get the flu vaccine as soon as possible. If you get the flu, you will be miserable for a week or more.
