Three arrested for three Richmond robberies

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – Richmond Police have three suspects in custody for three late night robberies believed to be related.

The first happened around 9:45 p.m. in the 1900 block of E. Franklin Street. Police say two men approached the victim with a gun, and told him to put his hands on the hood of a car, while they took his wallet.

The second robbery happened about 30 minutes later in the 0 block of S. 20th Street. We're told the victim was threatened with a gun, but one was never seen. Again, the suspects got away with money.

A third incident happened around 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of Government Road and Jennie Scher Road. Again, police tell us a knife was shown to the victim during this robbery.

According to police, the suspects' vehicle matched the description of one seen leaving the crime scenes. Officers were then able to track down the suspects and make an arrest.
