RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Families are mourning after two men were shot and killed over the holiday weekend. Loved ones will remember one of them in a vigil Thursday night.
Police say 48-year-old Blaine Tyler was shot and robbed last Friday night at the B.P. on Westover Hills Boulevard.
That same night, another man — Pierre Cosby — was also shot and killed on Edwards Avenue.
Two teens are now charged in the mens' death.
We spoke to the aunt of the second victim, Pierre Cosby, who says she was actually on the phone with him through a conference call before the crime.
She says she remembers hearing him beg for his life.
Now she just wants to honor her nephew.
"It's just a hard pill to swallow when you know something is going on with someone and somebody's harming one of your family members and there's nothing you can do to get there to help them," said Marquieta Boyd.
People will have a chance to honor Cosby in a candle light vigil Thursday night.
It will start at 6:00 in the 1700 block of Edwards Avenue.
Friends and family are encouraged to come out and show their support.
