'East Coast Rapist' to be extradited to Virginia

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Connecticut judge has agreed to send the man known as the "East Coast Rapist" to Virginia.

Aaron Thomas was arrested in Connecticut back.

Police say DNA confirms that he is responsible for rapes and other attacks on 17 women from Virginia to Connecticut over the span of a decade.

Connecticut agreed to allow Virginia to have Thomas face trial here first.
