RPD investigating store robbery

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Police are investigating after a store clerk was robbed at gunpoint Saturday night.

The robbery happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of North Avenue. Two males entered the B&J store, displayed a handgun and robbed a store clerk.

At one point, the employee was hit with the gun, but was otherwise not seriously hurt.

    Police are investigating the death of a man in Henrico Friday night.  It happened before 10 p.m. at the Exxon gas station on Mechanicsville Turnpike near Crump Street.  Further details on the victim and how he died are still unknown.  Police have not said if there is a suspect in the case and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
