Man charged in Richmond meth lab fire

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The man living in the apartment where a meth lab was discovered has been charged.

Jeff S. Prillaman, 51, of the 3500 block of Grove Avenue has been charged with the manufacture of methamphetamine, according to police.

On Saturday, November 19, firefighters responded to his apartment for a fire.  Once the fire was out, they discovered chemicals consistent with the production of methamphetamine.

Prillaman was burned in the fire and, as of Wednesday, remains hospitalized at VCU Medical Center.

Police said they continue to investigate.
