School bus crashes in Maryland, 28 students on board

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A school bus full of students crashes in Maryland after a basketball game here in Virginia.

Nearly two dozen people are hurt. Most of the people hurt are now out of the hospital.

State police are trying to figure out what caused this crash.

28 students were on board coming from a basketball game in the Northern Neck. This crash happened in Chaptico, Maryland, about 50 miles south of Washington, D.C.

Police say the bus wrecked after a truck didn't yield while turning left at an intersection. At least 15 students on board were hurt, not seriously. Police arrested the truck driver. He in jail now charged with driving drunk.
