CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Chesterfield County Police have arrested a man in connection with a pair of robberies that occurred Nov. 18-19.
On Friday, Nov. 18, at about 10:45 p.m., a male suspect entered the Flagstop Car Wash at 2500 W. Hundred Road. The suspect, who had his hand in his pocket, demanded cash from the clerk. The suspect took cash and fled the scene. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured during the incident.
On Saturday, Nov. 19, at about 3:15 a.m., the same suspect entered the Exxon station at 2117 Willis Road and soon left. He returned a few minutes later and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect took cash and fled the scene. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured during the incident.
Chesterfield police, with help from the Colonial Heights Police Department, identified the suspect as David C. Oakley, of Henrico. Police obtained warrants for Oakley, 53, for robbery.
He was arrested without incident on Monday, Nov 21. He is being held in the Chesterfield County Jail without bond pending a hearing on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Oakley has also been charged in Colonial Heights in relation to an attempted robbery that occurred on Nov. 19.
