RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – Representatives with Verizon confirmed with NBC12 Friday afternoon, that there is currently an issue with "345" telephone numbers in the metro Richmond area.
Monday morning, that's still the case.
We're told when people dial a phone number that begins with "345", they hear a modem-like sound. As a result, we've had to temporarily shut down our Call 12 lines.
It's unclear exactly how long it will take Verizon to fix the issue for everyone, but we're told they're working on it.
We'll continue to update you when we learn more.
